Each piece of silver jewellery above 7.78g and gold jewellery above 1g will be hallmarked by the London Assay Office.

Any pieces under this weight can also be hallmarked with an additional charge of £30 each or £30 for up to 10 items if the pieces are the same metal and fineness.
